HALIFAX bank has launched an education programme to advise customers about stakeholder pensions.
Almost 20,000 have signed up for regular updates about retirement planning before the launch of stakeholder pensions next April. Registration slips are available in branches or by calling 0845 600 0845.
* HOLIDAYMAKERS opting for last-minute trips abroad should look at countries with the weakest currencies, says American Express.
Greece still has the best value currency, followed by Germany and Italy in joint second place, France and Spain.
Austria, Belgium, Holland and Portugal are also good value.
