Vic; West Melbourne street closed by flooding

Several cars have had to be towed out of flooded Dudley Street in West Melbourne.

State Emergency Service workers have blocked off the busy through-road to traffic.

And police have advised motorists to avoid streets leading to the link between West
Melbourne and the Docklands.

They say an elderly couple in a Ford LTD and a number of other cars have had to be
towed out of Dudley Street after being trapped by floodwaters.

Access to Dudley Street is blocked off with barricades at Footscray Road and Latrobe
Street and Wurundjeri Way.
